Wait awhile

Wait awhile
I had always wanted a pet. A cat, to be exact. And a dog. I prayed every night and asked God for one. My dad is an evangelist and he is always traveling. So having a pet was not really, well, practical. But i did not give up. I did not understand why God did not grant my wish. I had faith, i was faithful to praying. But god said wait awhile. Years later, october of 2010, I was just about ready to give up. I went out of the church doors the night after a meeting to the car where my dad was waiting. He smiled a I know something smile. then he took out his smartphone and showed me a cute, furry, kitten. He is yours he said. I was so happy. the little sad because i still wanted that dog.a few weeks later, when we got the kitten, he was a cute little dream. Soft white fur, light blue eyes, and siamese marking that were orange instead of gray. But the best thing i found out, was cleo WAS a dog. Well, what i mean is he plays fetch, tug-of-war, and even chase. But what is the best is he well, does tricks! I taught him to shake, lie down, roll over, sit up, jumo into your arms, and give you high five. If i had not waited awhile, I might not have this dog-cat. I named him Cleo. So, if i were you, i would not question god if he says wait awhile. He always knows what is best!
