Shooting Star

Okay. I’m probably a terrible writer… but I wanted to write a story, and… I don’t know. also this picture is not mine. Here’s the story. I hope you enjoy!
Skye looked at the glow in the dark stars on her ceiling and squeezed her eyes shut. It was a dream, she thought. Dad never left us on our own. She knew it wasn’t a dream, but Skye wanted to pretend that it was. Suddenly a bright light flashed into her eyes.
“Wake up, sleepyhead. Breakfast in 10 minutes, okay?” said her mom. Skye groaned.
“Moh kay.” she said. Skye dragged herself out of bed and yawned. She reached for the closest piece of clothing, which happened to be a galaxy romper. Skye tried to walk to the door, but everything was blurry. Then she remembered. Glasses! Skye slipped on the glasses and changed into the romper. Then she scattered down the stairs. “Sky-ee. Will you play cars with me?” said Davey, Skye’s little brother. She shook her head no and sat down for pancakes.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT FINISHED.
