After three days of fasting it was time. I sat at my dressing table while Abijah, my chief hairdresser, braided my curly hair into a thick ponytail. When she had finished I stood and walked over the smooth marble floor, to the tall mirror studded with fine jewels, to look at my reflection.  

“You look fabulous, your majesty”, Abijah said.

“Thank you”, I said. “Send for Ameera”.

When she came we talked for a while then prayed – maybe for the last time, I thought.

“You’ll be fine”, Ameera said. “Trust me and more importantly, trust the God who has brought you this far.”

“You’re right”, I said. “I will do this. And if I die, I die.”

I walked down the long corridor towards the Prime Minister’s meeting room until I came to the large heavily guarded door. My heart thumped in my chest. Then the security guards grabbed me. Before they could take out their radios to call for backup, I span my arm around, twisting one of the guards arms until he let go of me. I broke free and burst through the door. The Prime Minister looked up with a mixture of shock, horror and – was that amusement? Before I could utter a single word the guards had caught up to me. It was my only chance.

so sorry for the HUGE gap between me uploading the the next part of my ‘Sephora’ story. I feel rlly bad and i have no gd excuse rlly I guess I just got sucked in with school and things. so for anybody who still checks up on this thanks for not giving up on me! I’ve been working on the fine details for the past few weeks and i’ve re-written the whole thing, just to add a bit more detail. I wanted to make it more belivable and realistic. I wanted to thank all the ppl who’ve supported me soooo much even though I pretty new to all this writing and posting on Guide. Thanks again to ma people!!! love you guys. Anyways, I really hope you all enjoyed this and plz feel free to critisize my writing. God bless x
