Scarred

Scarred
His hands and feet bear the marks that should have been mine,
Even though I should have meant no more than swine.
He was pierced in the chest to be sure He was dead.
He wore a crown of thorns on his head.
He was laid in a tomb that was sealed with a stone.
Three days later the tomb was empty and the grave clothes laid alone.
His followers found that He was now alive.
To conquer the grave He did not have to strive.
Forty days later He returned to paradise.
Hundred and fourty-four thousand will never know how man feels when he dies.
But God has redeemed us all.
He was willing to pa a price that was not small.
Jesus would have died,
Even if he only saved one person no matter how hard he tried.
He loves us all equally.
We are all saved by He.
