Proverbs 10:23

Proverbs 10:23 has a great message and relates to how recently “retired” Guide editor Randy Fishell helped start Sports Zone.

Proverbs 10:23 states that to do evil is like sport to a fool, but a man of understanding has wisdom.

Obviously if you’re doing evil, that’s not a good thing. I like how Solomon, writer of Proverbs, puts it though; doing evil is like sport to a fool (NKJV). I like to imagine that this would be the wrong sport to play. No one should try to get good at doing evil. However, wisdom is pleasure to a man that understands how good wisdom is.

During my time at Guide, I’ve learned so much Mr. Randy Fishell. Did you know that he was the one who originally helped me come up with the idea for Sports Zone? And now, almost 80 Sports Zone articles, i’m still learning and finding more creative ways to explain faith through sports. Although he’ll shy away from taking credit, Mr. Randy Fishell has guided me (pun intended) through every Sports Zone article and has helped push me farther mentally in order to make a better article.

So a HUGE thank you to Mr. Randy Fishell for allowing God to use him to help Guide and the ministry in general. You and your wisdom will be missed here but I, along with the other Guide readers, look forward to seeing how God will use you next 🙂 Farewell!
