1 John 4:8 reminds us of something very important 🙂
1 John 4:8 simply states that God = love and love = God. Although this verse seems really simple, it’s a very powerful verse to remember. If we claim to be Christians but we don’t show love to other people, then we’re not being a proper witness. That thought is mentioned again in 1 Corinthians 13:2 where it says that we can do all these amazing things in life, but if we don’t have love, then we’re doing it for nothing.
This weekend, the east coast is experiencing a huge snow storm, if you’re one of the kids in that storm, try shoveling your neighbor’s front steps. Or if your on the west coast, let me know what you think of to do out of love. It’s going to feel like a long weekend, so let’s make the most of it 🙂
