The Invisible Girl

The Invisible Girl
Many cannot see her
In her pretty print dress
And green slippers
People pass by her
Unseeing
She talks sometimes
But people look at her funny
Of course
They only hear wind whistling
But a few people see her
They are her friends
They talk to her
Sing with her
People look at them funny too
Because they are singing loudly
To the air
Sometimes her friends
Dont know shes gone
Either
That is how quiet she is
But one day
She knows
Everyone will see her
Everyone will look at her
And wonder
How she was ever invisible
In the first place
So she keeps working
And waiting
Till someone notices her.
