————————- Story Time! ———————————–

once upon a time there was a boy named Liam N. Jones and Liam had lost his parent in this past week. He was crying, sobbing & angry with God! How could have God done this?! he prayed to God that night before going to bed.

Then in the cold night of December 21st, 1829, he dreamt about searching for his silver watch his dad gave him for Christmas the last year. Then, while he was looking under his wooden bed (in his dream) he found his watch along with a golden, bright, mysterious object, and that was when Liam woke up.

He jumped of his bed and looked under the bed and found his clock along with a Golden compass etched “Liam”. The compass was pointing Northeast and that was when he saw a note.

Dear Liam, this compass has been made in the Blessing Blacksmith Shop in The Celestial City! this compass will always point towards heaven. Follow it and come to the Celestial City!

Signed, The Good Shepherd.

Woah, Woah, Woah! Heaven? he thought about it a little more. the Celestial City? ” I’m Going,” said Liam as he packed his:

  • Bible
  • Leather satchel
  • Coin purse
  • Water flask
  • Bread
  • Cheese
  • Dried fruit
  • Pocketknife
  • Blanket
  • Extra clothes
  • Sturdy boots
  • Hat
  • Walking staff
  • Rope
  • Needle and thread
  • Candle
  • Flint and steel
  • Handkerchief
  • Soap
  • Comb

Once he finished his list, he went back to bed and slept. The next morning, when dawn arrived, Liam started his journey.

“Farewell City of Destruction” said Liam as he walked away.

He walked and walked some more and then it was nighttime. “I think I’ll stop here and rest and tomorrow I will continue the journey” said Liam as he laid down.

The next morning, he ate some bread and cheese and continued the journey!

When he was about 30 miles away from the City of Destruction, he saw a boy sitting alone in a rock.

“Excuse me,” said the boy. “Do you have some extra food to spare for a homeless, poor boy?”

“Of course” said Liam. “What is your name?”

“My name is Ezra D. Oakley,” said Ezra.

“My name is Liam N. Jones, and I come from the City of Destruction”

“Where ya off to?” asked Ezra as he finished eating.

“To the Celestial City,” said Liam. When they hiked an hour, they saw a dirty, abandoned pond.

“Swamp of Despond ,” read Ezra. “I Guess there is no way around it, so let start swimming” said Liam as he jumped in!

When the two boys were almost on the other side they started to sink!

“OH NO! HELP, HELP!” shouted Ezra. then suddenly someone pulled them out.

“Did you call me?” Said the mysterious voice.

  1. Nice! I love “Pilgrim’s Progress,” and it’s nice to see your spin-off! You know what would be cool? If you looked up the meaning of each name like Bunyan did for the book. You know, like, it was Evangelist, not Jack. Just a thought! Um, I’m assuming that the contest is for a new series? Cool! I’ll enter.
