The way how he described the party made me really wish I’d been there – I mean who would want to miss a huge V.I.P only party with unlimited buffet food and live music and expensive gift giveaways at the end of all the parties! I’ve been making sure Mordecai brings me back things and today I got a beautiful bangle. Its rose gold and it even has my name engraved on it!
All this has been so exciting, especially because we live so close to to the Crystal House, so we get all the latest updates and gossip, but I can’t help thinking how lonely it’ll be while Mordecai is away. The first few week I’ll be fine, I’m sure, but this is going to be a lot longer than a few weeks or even a few months, it’s going to be like, half the year!
And, I still haven’t been able to shake that weird dark kind of feeling that something bad is gonna happen at the House.
I don’t want to tell Mordecai about either of those things though, he worries enough about us already.

Sephora Chapter Two
Mordecai came and told me about everything that happened yesterday, the first day of the banquet. He described the luscious food, the drinks, the dancing and amazing music performances. He’s going to be staying at Crystal House Hotel until the end of the state party. I can tell he’s really excited to be there because he works really hard at his job, so this is a kind of indirect reward for all of his hard work and dedication.
