Michael’s Big Mistake, Chapter 1

Fourteen=year-old Micheal left class and walked toward the school recess ground. Nathan, one of Michael’s friends, saw him staring at someone while sitting on the swing.

“Who are you staring at?”

“Nobody…”

“Come on man. You can tell me, I won’t tell anyone!”

“Anyone? Are you sure?”

“I promise.”

Michael took a deep breath.I was looking at Ryleina.”

Ooooh someone’s in love. Hahahahaha!”

“No, I’m not.”

Nathan stared at him blankly.

“Okay fine!” Michael grumbled. “You win, I kind of like her.”

“When are you gonna ask her out?”

Michael shrugged.Never probably… I am way too shy, plus what if she rejects me?”

“What are your parents thinking about all that?”

“They don’t care whether I have a girlfriend. Besides they’re divorced. My mom always going to work and my dad is happy with his new family.”

“Well you better ask her out you never know maybe she likes you.”

“Okay.”

Micheal took a deep breath and walked toward Ryleina. When he reached her he could feel his face getting red.”

Hello, Ryleina.”

“Hi Micheal!  What’s up?”

“Would you like to come to my place this afternoon? We could do our homework together and then watch some movies if you like.”

“Yes of course! What hour?”

“4 p.m.”

“Okay, I’ll be right up. Bye!”

“As she walked away, Micheal was still feeling uneasy. How in the world would he ask her on a date?”

Don’t do it !

Huh? who’s talking to me ? God is that you ?

Don’t do it.

Why shouldn’t I ask her out ?

Don’t do it, it’s not the right time.
