“So,” Jennifer said turning to me. “Your sister told me you have the bigger room.” Her eyes seemed to bore into me. “Have you explored it yet?”

“Wellll, ummm…” I paused stammering, ” I guess?” the sentence coming out more of a question then an answer.

Jennifer stared at me for a second, then quickly said, ” Okay cool!”

“So who lived here before us?” Sarah asked.

“Oh, Lily and Roger, they were adults though.” Bianca said, “So it’s nice that your fam has 3 kids.”

Sarah and I looked uncomfortably at each other.

“So, umm were 7…” I said.

” 7 what?” Jennifer asked.

“We have 7 kids in our family.” I said.

An uncomfortable silents followed.

It was Jennifer who broke the silences, “Oh, wow. Are they all girls?”

Sarah and I burst into laughter.

“No there are 3 boys.” Sarah finally.

“Oh, that too bad.” Bianca said.

I quickly agreed, “Yup, there annoying.”

Sarah nodded her head in agreement.

“Hey, I’m right here you know!” said a new voice.

We turn around and find Mike in the doorway of the barn.

“This is Mike.” Sarah said introducing him.

“Well,” Mike said, ” I may be annoying, but I’m the coolest of the boys.”

“No, you’re not!” Max said as he burst in to the barn, ” I’m Max by the way.” noting Bianca and Jennfer, ” And my dear brother here is wrong,” he paused for effect “I’m the coolest!”

Mike rolled his eyes and said, “He thinks that.”

Then Max and Mike started to have a full on fight. Who would have guessed that Mike was 16 with his attitude.

Just then Lowella and Sam burst in to the bran breathless.

Sam said, “You won’t believe what we found!”
