Psalm 139:14 – Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

I remember when people used to make fun of me for my body. Has anyone ever made fun of you? Read more to find out how Psalm 139:14 helped me.

Psalm 139:14 tells us to praise the Lord because we are fearfully and wonderfully made. I remember in 5th grade I was constantly made fun of for my big feet, my height, and my teeth! In 5th grade I had a size 13 shoe, I was probably 5’11 or 6’0″ feet tall, and had two big front teeth with a gap in the middle. Some of my classmates used to make fun of me, but I never let it bother me too much because I knew my family loved me and more importantly, God loved me.

God made me this was for a reason. Years later, I realize why I was made this way. I now wear a size 16 shoe, but it’s because I need a strong foundation for my 6’5″ height and 224 lbs frame. Oh, and my teeth? Because I had such a big mouth, my wisdom teeth grew in and pushed my two big front teeth together so the gap is not even noticeable anymore. My dentist compliments me on my smile all the time 🙂

No matter what you look like, it’s important for you not to be discouraged when people make fun of you for what you look like. No matter what color you are, how big your nose or ears are, or even how short, tall, small, or big you are; you’re made that way for a reason. Embrace it! God made you and He doesn’t make mistakes 🙂
