Ezekiel 34:16 – Mount Kilimanjaro

It’s been a busy month for Super Bowl champion, Chris Long.

Chris Long will be joined by two former Philadelphia Eagles on his quest to climb Mount Kilimanjaro on Tuesday, February 20. For those that don’t know, Mount Kilimanjaro is a resting volcano in Tanzania and the highest mountain in Africa. On average only 61% of climbers actually reach the summit. The three are part of the group of players helping former NFL long snapper and Army Green Beret Nate Boyer in the climb to raise awareness for water shortage.

Chris’ acts of serve keep growing. If you remember back in August Chris donated his game checks to an educational program in Charlottesville, VA. Whether that is volunteering for your local church or serving as a church employee we need to be reminded about what the Word says about what we do. Serving God is one of the most important principles of the Christian faith. As believers, we are expected to serve the church with a joyful spirit. God says in Ezekiel 34:16 “I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strength the weak.

When Jesus speaks about serving, we should listen to Him. he is the very God of the universe who came as a Man to serve. What are some ways you think you could be serving your community?
