Colossians 3:23 – Work for God, Not Man

I remember once when students were complaining about the crowds not cheering them enough. That’s when I gave them some practical advice.

So there was a time when I was speaking at a team worship and some of the students complained that people didn’t cheer them on enough. Some of them were so discouraged that they wondered why they were playing on the team at all. That’s when I shared Colossians 3:23 with them. We shouldn’t do things for the praise of people because people are fickle; meaning, that their opinions sway back and forth all the time. So it’s better to do things for God, whose opinion never changes about us. He loves us and wants the best for us at all times.
