All You Need Is Love

Recently, I read about a baseball manager who tried to force his ways onto his team. It kind of made me think…

It kind of made me think how God doesn’t do that to us. This baseball owner tried to force his ways and ideas onto the team. He wanted them to pitch and bat in a certain order, but that’s just not how baseball works. Even though someone may own a team, they can’t really force players to do what they want. Now his players are upset and it’s not good for team morale overall.
I view God in the same way. He created us and in a sense, He owns us. Of course God’s ways are best and He could make us love and obey Him. However, God would rather show us the right way and then give us the choice about what we want to do.
The key to giving someone the freedom of choice when you know it might hurt you or someone else is love. Love conquers all. For this Sabbath, go and read 1 Corinthians 13 and see if you can love your family, friends, and teammates like that.
Happy Sabbath!
