Girl Power! (For you “chipmunk”)

Last week on the discussion board, “chipmunk” asked if I thoght it was a good idea to seperate boys from girls in sports. I said I think it was a good idea because it made things more even.

However, this week I found a bunch of sports articles with girls in them. I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I don’t think professional women athletes often get the proper credit they deserve. So today, I just want to highlight two women athletes.

Zoya DeNure was a model, but then she decided to modeling was boring and she wanted to switch to dog sledding. She runs a abandoned dog shelter and teaches compassion by caring for her dogs. When she was racing in the Iditarod, one of her dogs was having trouble breathing. She wasn’t sure she’d be able to finish the race, and she might have to give up. Would she finish the race?
