Lily, who is 11 years old, lives with her mom, dad, and sister. They go to church every saturday. One specific sabbath, only five minutes before Lily and her family had to go to church, Lily was looking for her black sabbath shoes. They were the only shoes that mached her black and silver plad dress. The only problem was that Lily could not find her shoes! She looked everyware! On her shoe shelf, under her sink, and even in her laundry hamper! Just then, Lily’s mom called her and said, “Lily, come on, it’s time to go!” Lily still could not find her shoes! She began to cry. Then, she thought, “Mabey Jesus can help me.” So she got down onto her knees and closed her eyes. “Dear Jesus,” she began, “Please help me to find my black sabbath shoes.” Then she opened her eyes. There in front of her, in her laundry hamper, was her black sabbath shoes! Jesus had awnsered her prayer! Before she got up of off her knees, she closed her eyes again and said another prayer. “Thank you, Jesus, for awnsering my prayer,” she said. Then she got up, put on her black sabbath shoes, and got into the car. She was so happy that Jesus had awnsered her prayer.
