God, help me! Laina thought as she saw the teenagers coming toward her. Then she heard a loud hiss. Kat followed her!
“Oh, look at the little kitty cat!, one of the teenagers sneered. “I bet she’s your mommy protecting you, huh little girl?”
Kat hissed and pounced at the teenagers to make them go away.
“Whoa! That’s a tough cat you’ve got there! Let’s go ,bros*.” The other teenager said.
“Kat, you saved me! Thank you!” Laina said as she gently hugged her. “Now let’s go get some tuna for a reward.”
When Laina got home, her mom was cooking lunch. “Hey sweetie! Just in time! I needed the tomatoes. Thank you.”
“I’ll be in my room, Mom!” said Laina as she walked up the stairs.
After dinner, there was a knock on the door. “Ill get it!” yelled Jeremiah as he ran to the door. He opened the door.
“Who are you?” asked Jeremiah.
“I’m your father.” The man said. “Hello Joyce.” he waved to Laina’s mom.
“Brian.” replied Mom

Umm, why did he not know his father? Amazing job with the intrigue! And about your footnote… I don’t think it’s confined to teenage boys, but a lot of people nowadays say it.
lol I say it and I’m girl. I don’t remember, did she see her dad in the beginning of this series? It was SO long ago, I don’t remember!
