He Lives: The Poem

After the last supper Jesus went to Gethsemane.
He asked Peter, James and John, “Pray with me.”

Later Peter denied Jesus three times
Like Jesus had said.

Then later that Friday Jesus died on a cross and the price was paid.

When women came to the tomb no one was there and an angel said, “He lives.”

Jesus died on a cross and now
I can go and live where He is

  1. I liked it! It was concise, but you still felt like you got the entire story. My ballet class is actually doing the resurrection for this spring recital, and I’m the one rolling the stone away (or the “stone keeper,” as I call it). Anyways, that was way off-topic, this poem was cool!
