Three year-old JJ yawned. He rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes. Smells of breakfast being prepared wafted into the room. He jumped up out of bed. “Queg! Wake up. It’s tomorrow!”
Craig groaned. “Go away. Let me sleep!”
JJ shrugged. He didn’t understand why somebody wouldn’t want to get up in the morning. He skipped down the hallway and ran down the steps. “Mama! I’m awake!”
She picked him up. “Hi baby! How did you sleep?” JJ squirmed out of her grasp. He hated hugs.
“Good. What’s for breakfast?”
“Oatmeal, and today there’s a surprise inside!” JJ peered in the bubbling oats.
“Raisins! We have raisins in our oatmeal today! He jumped up and down.
“Yes, yes! We have raisins. Now go wash your hands and face. Also wake your brother up too. Its breakfast time!” Mama said while laughing.
JJ climbed up the stairs. “Morning Daddy!”
“Morning son. After you eat breakfast, we’re going to have a family meeting.” His voice sounded tired and a little grouchy.
JJ nodded. “Yes sir!” He saluted.
Michael, his father, smiled. “At ease, my boy! Dismissed!
JJ giggled and ran to his bedroom to get changed. Craig slowly slid out of bed. His bed hair looked so funny that JJ laughed. Craig laughed back at him because JJ’s hair looked the same way. Then they stopped laughing. They heard voices, angry voices.
“It’s just mom and daddy fighting again.” Craig sighed.
JJ snorted. “I’ll never get married one day! I don’t like fighting.”
Craig scoffed. “Then why do you fight with me all the time?” JJ didn’t answer.
Later, everyone gathered in the living room. Micheal spoke first. “Two things, number one: we’re moving.”
Everyone groaned. “Again daddy? We just got here! I like it here.” JJ whined.
Micheal’s face hardened. “No whining! And yes! We are moving. Number two: Your mother and I are getting a divorce.”
Nobody spoke for a moment. “What’s a divorce?” JJ wanted to know.

Hey guys! Sry for the sudden decisions, but Faith, Fear, and the First Christmas is officially closed. So is this one. I’m so sorry guys but I feel like I should be writing stories based on my personal experiences in life. Thank you for understanding!
When I mean personal experiences, I mean stories that can relate to me more. (small Things I’ve noticed God gives you everyday! (:
I totally get it! As I’ve been writing over the years, I’ve seen that you have to write how God made you to write. I know I’m gonna love your next stories!
