The Not So Best Friends Chapter 10

It was Friday, 5:00 in the afternoon. I had fallen asleep, and I didn’t know that my phone was ringing. My mom had heard my phone ringing, so she came over and tickled my feet. That’s how my mom gets me to wake up.

“Anna, someone just tried to call you on the phone,” my mom told me.

“Okay. I’ll see who it was,” I said in response.

I looked at my lock screen on my phone, and saw something that said, “One missed call. Laura Harkins.” Uh oh. Is there something bothering Laura? Is she okay? Is her dad okay? I called her back.

“Laura, is everything okay?” I asked her.

“Yeah. Actually way better than okay. I just wanted to ask you if my dad could ride with us to church. I told him that tomorrow I was going to go to church with you and your family, and then he asked if he could come too,” she replied.

“Laura, that’s amazing! Of course he can come.”

“Thank you, Anna. For everything.”

“Your welcome. Thank you Laura for being so open-minded.”

“Anna, I am so glad that you’re my BFF.”

“I’m glad that you’re my BFF, as well…

Just then, my mom called for dinner.

“Sorry Laura, I have to go eat dinner. My mom’s calling me. Bye.”

“Bye Anna.”

To be continued!
