VJRD
by Rachel Whitaker, Associate Editor

VJRDVJRD likes to lead out in Bible studies on the Guide chat. Below are some questions she has answered to help you get to know her better.

What's your name?
My username on chat is VJRD, but most kids call me Miss Vicky.

Are you married?
Yes, I've been married almost 17 years.

Do you have kids?
I have two kids: TonyD (a computer name), who is 14, and DeeDee (a computer name), who is 8. You often see TonyD on chat.

Do you have a job?
Yes. But not like you think. My job could be called a domestic engineer. That means it takes a lot of work to make sure my household runs smoothly. Also, I homeschool TonyD and DeeDee.

Where do you live?
I live in Minnesota.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up near Seattle, Washington.

What are your favorite activities?
I enjoy writing in journals, being outside (doing things like camping or geocaching), quilting, photography, and being with my family.

What was life like when you grew up?
Well, we didn't have the Internet, i-anything (iPods, iPads, etc.), cell phones, cable TV, or even CDs! I played outside a lot, loved Pathfinders, went to a three-teacher school, and spent a lot of time helping build a new school. I loved being near the water and enjoyed the sound of ships' horns when they were nearing their dock. I lived in a navy town, so aircraft carriers and battleships would sail in and out of the area pretty regularly. Once in a while we saw killer whales.

Why did you decide to have a Bible study on the chat?
Because young people like you are making important decisions in your life. I want to give you all the information I can so you can see how desperately God loves you and wants you in heaven with Him. This is one of the most important times in your life, and I would just love to finally meet you when we get to heaven.
