NEW! CHANGE BACKGROUND
Tough Season
by David Robinson

Yesterday was a day of "mourning" at Spencerville.
Both our boys soccer team and girls volleyball team lost in the second round of the playoffs. It was a huge disappointment because both of our teams were poised to go to the championship. One thing I had to re-learn though was that there are always two sides to a coin. This means that there will always be a winner and there will always be a loser. Unfortunately, we lost games yesterday. While it was hard to accept, it was a good lesson in humility and good sportsmanship. I wasn't at the soccer game but after a brutal loss, my volleyball team kept their heads up and shook hands with the other team.

It was nice to see that at the end of the day, it's just a game. Even I forget that at times. It's nice to be reminded every now and then. Happy Sabbath!

P.S.
When's the last time you lost a big game? How did you feel?

our volleyball team lost at the city finals because I ducked so the person behind me could see the ball and it landed right in between  us!I felt so bad but everyone said it wasn't my fault.

We all make mistakes you know, that's part of life.

Well, I felt that it was just a game because we were losing on the playoffs.
But I'm glad it was a fair game. Happy Sabbath! :-) ;-) 8)
