Recently, I was reading Prophets and Kings by Ellen White and I recently came across a topic that really interested me, which was the 12 minor prophets. I decided that I was going to do a study of each one of the minor prophets based on the books they wrote in the Bible. So, I am only on the first one, haha  but it's Hosea and I just finished the book. Just wanted to know if anyone else has read that book... It's actually a really special and unique book and I enjoyed it because of the fact that God shows Hosea an important lesson about His Love for His People and the adultery they were committing by having Hosea marry a prostitute named Gomer. It really makes everything Hosea writes more meaningful because he understands the feeling of adultery that God experiences. I have never seen another book in the Bible use such a beautiful parallel to show Gods love for man. If you haven't read Hosea, I recommend that you do that right away. :P

I've read Hosea and all the other books of the minor prophets. I had to read the whole Old Testament for freshman year
... Even if it gets me convicted
I’ll still be on my knees with my hands lifted ...
... If saying I believe is out of line
If I’m judged cause I’m gonna give my life
To show the world the love that fills me
Then I want to be Guilty ...

Last year for my Sophomore Bible class we spent the first quarter on the story of Hosea and how it's like God's love for us. It was really awesome seeing God's love for us through an actual person's actions. But the book itself doesn't seem to have so much of that love in it. A lot of it is just about destruction and etc
