So my doctor say's i'm under weight for my age i'm 13 and i was wondering what most people my age or around my age weigh? hope to hear from you guy's soon
P.S.( just a thought) A lot of people say to them self's "Oh I wish i was skinny..." or "Wow that person is so lucky to have a body like that..." . Then they put them self's down about every thing and say oh you have the life being skinny. But being a skinny person doesn't have all the luxuries you might think it has. People say stuff to you "Eat more, you need more meat on your bones." or "your too skinny, do you ever eat?" and when your skinny you get self conscious too. Some times the cloths' you wear make you look like living bones. Remember God made you just the way you are and we should be proud of that!

12 im about 105 ish and i have issues swimming cuz of my muscle, it sinks me =) I'm about 5'6 or 5'7 lol i hate falling-its such a long ways down when am i gonna quite growing ????? lol

A person's weight depends on two things: a) their body shape; b) their genetics. For example, my father's family is tall, skinny, and athletic. Whereas my mother's family are short and stocky. But not eating right can lead to obesity or being underweight. When I was a baby the doctor also thought I was underweight . Anyway, thanks for this topic...i was also kinda wondering about my own 'skinny-ness'.

I'm 13 going to be 14 and last time i checked I was 85 or close to that may be a little less... Oh and i'm about 5'3 &1/2 or like 5'4

I am sixteen and I weigh about 115, which is especially skinny since I am about 5' 8". However there isn't really anything wrong with being skinny, unless its for bad reasons of course. So long as you aren't anorexic (starving yourself) or bulimic (binging and purging) then being skinny is actually kind of nice. Although I don't like the fact that people think that its ok to tease skinny people. I don't mind most of it but I hate when people say they 'feel like they're going to break me'!

I'm 15, around 5 foot 5-6 or something, and I weigh under 200 pounds. I don't weigh myself, but last time I checked that's sort of the range I got, and I'm supposedly losing weight!

i can float on my back fine but my legs sink, also how am i supposed to do that? like out of the water? yeah then my back gets sore, and treading water is the hardest

I totally agree! I am really skinny but I'm just that way naturally, I have a very high metabolism, and people can tease just as much as they do overweight people (in fact more because apparently it's "ok") my least favorite is, "When I hug you I feel like I'm going to break you"!!!!!!!!!
I am 16 and 5' 8" and I weigh about 117.

She's likely that way naturally, people often consider me underweight (I even put my height and weight into a BMI calculator and was told I was anorexic) but I honestly can't really gain weight if I try, its just my family.

She only said her weight, not her height. Wether you are underweight or overweight is based on your weight/height ratio. Since I'm tall I'm skinny, but if someone much shorter weighed the same as me they would be overweight.

12 1/2, I'm around 90 pounds. I'm skinnier than most of my friends though, so yeah. Hope that helps.
