Sometimes, older people at church, or even just teens, leave kids out of Ay, or dont let them participate, kids meaning anyone below 14. Im one of those "kids" and i dont like it! What should my friends and i do? We are tired of being treated like this!

well have you tried going to all ay meting events and etc. and even if they don't let you really participate give ideas answer questions etc. they cant ignore you forever and if that doesn't work speak up and tell them how you feel :) B)

Is there an AY leader that you could talk to or a trusted adult like a pastor or parent? Also pray about. Maybe you could even start a program with your friends for the "kids" being excluded.

Just keep walking in and speaking up. Whn they tell you to leave stand your ground. I knwo how you feel. I don't get excluded anymore really because everyone at the church that did that kind of thing has left. When they would try to exclude me I would stand my ground until they said yes. everyone kid at my church follows my lead pretty much so no one does that. They oldest at our church is 17 and she almost never comes. The 14 yr old is my best friend so no ne excludes me. I know how you feel though! I have had it happen so many times. Talk to your mom about it and your sister too, tell her how you feel. I f she still is mean then tell your mom or dad.
Blessed Assurance! Jesus is mine!

Mercylove, you are so lucky to have a 14 year old as a friend, 'cause I get left out too, in many programs. :( I am also pretty shy, so standing up to myself is a pretty big deal. Any more ideas? Please reply. ;)

At my church if you want to be included just ask whoever is in charge and they usually say yes. I'm almost twelve.

Trust me I am the queen of that situation....Why does every one in my church have to be old? Seriously. These are the ages of All kids that go to my church, 18,15,15,15,11,9,9,11,8, that's it!!!! But a lot of times I bring a friend that's 13.
Okay so when our pastor retired,we had to get a new one, and he insisted that he had to have a office. He wanted to put the office in OUR junior room nobody asked us or talked to us about how we felt. We all LOVED that junior room.... It had so many memories. But noooo it had be the NEW pastors office so new didn't only kick us out, but the room we were going to go to was being used by somebody else so they had to move too. And get this,we share our pastor with another church and he only comes every-other sabbath!!! So we would still be using it more then him!!!

Anyone gone through a similar situation? After that I wrote the whole church board a letter and they just thanked me for my opinion whatever that does
