I'm from the UK, I've just been wondering how American schools are different to schools to the UK. For example we wear uniforms and in the USA you don't. BTW what years/grades are you guys in? :)

Some schools here in the USA have uniforms. 2 or 3 schools in my town have uniforms. I'm glad my school doesn't though, haha. :P Oh and I'm a sophomore(10th grade).

Actually, some schools in America do wear uniforms. But maybe the grade system (for NY at least) is different. Like Elementary school is from K-5, Middle/Junior High school is from 6-8 and Highschool is from 9-12. I'm in 10th :)

And it's not just private schools. Tons of the public schools in my area have a uniform policy. (Including mine)

I think there's a difference in how the grades go. Here's how it works in the US. First, there's preschool (optional), then kindergarten. Then elementary school, which is 1st grade to 5th or 6th grade. Next is middle school/junior high. That's either 6th to 8th or 7th to 8th. Then it's highschool. That's 9th to 12th. Then, college! That could be anywhere from a few years to close to 10. Depends on what you are studying.

Boot goes on your foot and on the back of a car. Bayonet goes on your gun. :P Get your terms right!

Actually, most all the SDA high schools I've been to have uniforms. I think in the US there is no rhyme or reason for schools and uniforms.
