I don't have the right plug in t o chat. Is there a linux compatible version of the chat room available?

you use lynux? awesome! :woohoo: what is the version called, is it like red hat, mint, or ubuntu? I am a mac user but I put linux on on old windows computer, it was good.

Yes, you can use the Guide chat on Linux. What distro do you use? Ubuntu, Debian, Arch... the exact instructions are specific to each. KDE is a desktop environment, not the distribution. You can use KDE on Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, or any other Linux distro.

If you open up whatever package manager you have on your computer, search for icedtea. If you install that plugin, in theory it should install java as a dependency and you should be able to use the chat. Icedtea is the open-source plugin, which I use, so if you want the non-free one you'd have to search for something else. I use this one, so I don't know the name of the other.
