It becomes a horrible thing when feminists do things that can be considered extremist.
It's perfectly okay to stand for equal rights for females, but when supporters of such movements do radically unnecessary things to show their support, then in the end, those people and their egregious doings will be a hindrance to the potential good the movement can do.

I agree. And ironically, extreme feminists claim that there's a "War against Women" and then they go and put down well-meaning guys who are just being gentlemen. "Did that guy just hold the door open for me? Men, of course -- he thinks I'm too weak! That's toxic masculinity!"
