Dance styles like ballet and Contemporary are very beautiful methods of self expression, however many Adventist do not/should not agree with the modesty of the clothing.

Dancing is appropriate (and good exercise) unless you are twerking or doing a *cough cough* risque (often latin) dance. If a song makes you want to move, MOVE!

I hate it when people get beat down in the church if someone so much as lifts their arms to a song. Music is meant to make you happy, and you're made to release that happiness, not keep it pent up like you're sitting through a lecture.c

I think that praise dances can bring glory to God. But I don't think just any dance should be performed in church.
Guide is the best!!!! :)

it all depends on the motives. i think praise dances are beautiful but if the person dancing is moving all over the place and dressed provokingly then that's not a true holy praise dance.

Lets be real. There is a difference between twerking and ballroom. My point is made.

Dancing is a great way to praise God, I just don't think you should do it during church.

I love dancing, personally. I would never dance at church, though. Not because my dancing is erotic, or anything like that. But because I feel it's a bit wrong to dance in a church. Maybe if you were holding a meeting outside the house of God, then yes! I personally am a contemporary dancer, and I do color guard and winter guard, so those would be my go to approach when dancing. This is totally a personal opinion, some may say that dancing is never the answer, but Dance is most certainly a form of self expression. Let GOD move you. :cheer:
