What do you do if you're stuck in a situation where you really want to come back to the Lord, but you are afraid that you're not strong enough to let your sin go? How can you convince yourself that what you're doing is wrong, and you can't just keep on sinning for the rest of your life? What do you do if you really LIKE the sin, despite its negative impact on your life? :( :silly:

-PLEASE answer as soon as possible.

BerryGirl13,

Please don't fall for Satan's trick! He makes us believe that we cannot come to GOD until we get rid of our sin. That's simple not true.

If you were sick, would you wait until you got yourself well to go to the doctor? Of course not. You would go to the doctor and ask her to use her knowledge and expertise to heal you.

So when you struggle with sin, don't wait to come back to GOD. Come back to HIM now. Tell HIM about your struggle, ask HIM to give you the strength to overcome it. Then watch HIS power in your life. Continue to stay connected to HIM through prayer and Bible study and soon the sin that seems so sweet now will be so bitter you will want to walk away from it.

God can do anything! If you ask him to help you reform, and you do what he wants you to do, then he will reform yourself.

Thanks, but my main problem was that I wasn't sure if I WANTED to stop sinning. I'm trying to change, though. Just keep me in your prayers. Heaven is TOO sweet to loose!!

BerryGirl13,

I understand. But come back to GOD anyway. Whether you want to stop sinning now or not, still make the connection with GOD. Talk to HIM about your struggle, study the Word and keep HIM in your heart. HE can hep you want to stop sinning and give you the power to stop.

i think whenever you really like sin it makes you think twice about God, if you are trying to give up something addicting and you get that longing for it (longing is no where near a strong enough word) then often you think tht that the sin is worth more than your Christianity. i'm speaking from my personal experience so no matter what you feel like stay strong. i'll pray for you.

Heaven is to sweet to lose. I kinda had the same problem, but then I thought would I rather dwell in this sin and have "earthly" fun with it or get rid of it so I can have "heavenly" fun? And the answer was very clear to me.
