Justin prays regularly to God, and if you were to ask him, he would say that prayer is the most important part of his faith. But he feels really uncomfortable praying out loud in front of others because it is so personal. He doesn’t want to fake it, but he feels guilty when he is asked to pray and he refuses. What would you say to him to help encourage him? What do you think he should do, if anything?

You can start out by praying simple prayers like "Dear God, Thank you for the wonderful day. Please help us to have a good day and also have fun day. Amen"
Then you can get less simpler every time and pretty soon you will be praying long prayers and pretty personal like you do by yourself.
You don't have to be Goliath to succeed, Little Davids can succeed, too :)

Actually, I'm kind of in the same situation myself:(. If I were him, I would just pray for courage, and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through me.

My opinion is to pray to God talking your situation and requesting a response signal to understand that God has :cheer:

Justin could ask God to help him have the courage to pray out loud and be less shy about praying in public. He should just focus on what he wants to say to God and not on the people around him.

It is also important that people should not try to pressure others into doing things just because they feel OK with it. Prayer is a very personal thing between you and God.
