I take Spanish at school, but my knowledge of the language consists of putting 'o' at the end of English words.

Example: Hola, friend-o. I have to eat-o my burrito-o.

I sure do know it well.

Hola and don't ask me to say anything else! :P ok maybe a fewww words more... :S
“I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!

@stevrno, careful, adding o can get you in trouble...
@bushpossum, Translation: I'm only going to warn you about something, the spanish language changes alot between countries, and not just countries, but also states or provinces within a country, so if you travel to a spanish speaking nation one of these days, don't be surprised if you don't understand what's being said, I am a native spanish speaker, but even i still sometimes wind up running into someone from a different place, with a different spanish, that i have to use signs to communicate with :P yo It's something we are very aware of, and even make jokes about, like that one time i saw a store that had a sign that said, "we speak spanish in different languages"

Honestly, before I started learning Spanish in highschool, my parents made me use Rosetta Stone. It was pretty horrible. I would recommend Duolingo if (someone) wants to learn Spanish outside of school. But I guess it really is just how people take up information---I've met a lot of people who really excelled with Rosetta.
