Well, if it's for bible references, I see no problems. But if you do play games or something like that, that's a problem.

If it's not a distraction to you or the congregation.

okay, thanks guys

senerio(sort of): a mother who has a small child is taking her into the mother room at church to feed her a snack. afterwards the mother allows the daughter to play games on her ipad. i dont think these games are christian related yet the mother allows her child to do this anyway...on the sabbath.

Q2:is it okay to let kids play secular games on electronics as long as it isnt destracting anyone?

What do you mean, if it isn't distracting anyone? It's distracting the child! I think Sabbath should be for God. Games can wait. Oh, and i think the real Bible is better than and ipad. Really, you're not learning where to find things in the Bible. Ex, time yourself and see how long it takes to find Hezakiah....

Answer to 2Q, it is bad because the secular games will take the little kid's mind off of the holy day.

I think iPods, iPhones, and iPads using the Bible is way better since you can have different versions for cheaper so you can get a Bible in different versions. Plus you can find stuff way easier. Plus it can be a backup so if you forget your Bible @ home, you can use that. And also if your travelling, its more convenient. I still use my REAL Bible but i also use the Virtual ones on my iPod. :cheer: Hope you like my comment! ;)

Ps: God never said that the Bible must be read on paper

Q2: no its not. it distracts you on top of the fact that it is not what God wants us to do on Sabbath.

okay so i know the answer to that question, maybe i can confront the lady...

anyways, last question:

do you think it is appropriate for teens (14+) to wear high heels? i dont mean the 2 or 3 inch heels im talking about the ones that are, like, 10 inches high(not literaly). cuz a lot of teens at my church wear ridiculously high heels and i wonder if they should even be doing that.

(P.Smoderators can answer too.)

I do wear high heels but only 2-3 inches high. Any higher and I can't walk without wobbling and falling over! :silly: You should wear shoes and clothes which make you look your age, not 4-5 years older... I once tried on a pair of 6 inch+ high heels but it made me look like I was 18!!! :S So super high heels are not for me :P

Q2: No. since i'm your brother i see her too. Like DaughterOfGod12 said it's distracting the kid. Not only the kid but the kid but the other kids that want to play on it to. Not only the other kids but the kids' mom that helps the kid with the game. And not only the kids' mom but the moms of the other kids that want to help to. and not only the kids moms but the bystanders, or sitters, that are distracted by the game, the game sounds, and the arguing over the game. It's one big distraction all by itself. One big demon working itself into the church to distract god's people from the word. Conspiracy.

Q3: If it hurts you... probably not good for you. Just saying. For example you know that sliding on concrete hurts so would you do it once a week just to look good?

It distracts the kids and unless its related to Jesus, it doesn't seem right that kids would play secular games on Sabbath.

Yeserree! My dad does it every Sabbath! But it's good to bring your actual Bible with you so you can appreciate it and have a mix of both.

Church is not the catwalk- some teens take what the Bible says look your best on Sabbath to the next level. You are not at church to show off your amazingly high shoes :pinch: but to worship the One who blessed you. I think it's fine to wear 1-3 inch heels to church regularly, if it's not neon colors or not showy. Good question.

Give me a reason to laugh, and I will. But you don't need to give me a reason to share God's word.

1. Yes, I think it's fine to use iPads. I don't think it would change the way the speaker presents as opposed to using a paper copy.

2. I would ask those that do play games, "Why are you at church then?"

3. Haha, I don't have any experience w/ high heels  (I'm a guy). I would wonder what the purpose is for wearing them.
