HappyHat
by Rachel Whitaker, Associate Editor

HappyHatHappyHat is one of our college-age moderators, and he has been a member of the CyberClub for several years. Below are some questions he has answered to help you get to know him better.

What's your name?
My username on chat is HappyHat (although I like to change it around frequently), but my friends know me as Trevor.

Are you married?
Nope, sure not. Not in a huge rush to be, either.

Do you have an AMAZINGLY AWESOME beard?
Why yes :D Yes, I do :D

Do you have pets?
I have my beard. I like to think it counts.

Do you have a job?
My full-time job is being a student. I also work in the AV department, running the sound system for one event or another.

Where do you live?
I live in Texas.

Where did you grow up?
I was born in Mesa, Arizona, and moved to Texas when I was five. I have spent some summers with my grandparents in North Dakota and in Minnesota. A few years ago I also spent a summer working in the MagaBooks program in Oregon.

What are your favorite activities?
I enjoy people. You might be surprised how much I have figured out about you when you thought I wasn't listening. I am a computer science major in college and like to think I can hold my own and even pass for a nerd myself. I enjoy gaming, although I try not to let it give me troubles with school/work. I like to play guitar and sing. I occasionally even play in the band.

What was life like when you grew up?
I found out something interesting when I came to the realization that I'm an "adult" now, and that is that it doesn't really feel any different, except maybe the amount of free time.

Why did you decide to be a CyberClub moderator?
After I joined the club (when I was 13 years old), I enjoyed visiting with the interesting people I met in the Guide CyberClub. Then, when I was 17, my dad ("Uncle Andy") began working with the CyberClub as the moderator coordinator. I had to help him get used to being in the chat room and learning how it works. After helping to train him, I decided to become a moderator myself--when I turned 18.
