Dear Guide Readers and Parents,  It’s kind of weird. I mean, I don’t even like movies or computer games very much. So why would I launch a movie and computer game review section at the Guide Web site? Because we’re living in the end-times of earth’s history, that’s why. Allow me to explain. In my view, entertainment has become one of Satan’s most powerful weapons to take down Christians, both kids and adults. So we need to learn to discern what God really wants us to put into our minds. Screen Smart was created to help Guide readers and others do just that. After being disappointed with what many other Christian media review Web sites consider acceptable entertainment, I knew we needed to act. Melanie Bockmann will provide honest evaluations of movies and other media being marketed to Guide-age young people. We want you to have the information you need to make godly choices as a Seventh-day Adventist junior or earliteen getting ready to meet Jesus. No, Melanie won’t be "recommending" anything. But her viewpoint should give you a pretty good idea of whether or not a certain movie or game is something you want to consider putting into your head.
